4 August Updates

Hi all. A few updates and reminders

1. Training this week. Unfortunately, I'm away with work Mon/Tues and Thurs/Fri this week. I have asked some of our senior paddlers (and will be asking a couple more) to take training. Please be respectful and listen - they have a lot to offer you. If a parent or two could hand around that would be appreciated.

2. 17/18 August Kawarau Race. Entries will close on Friday, but please enter now so you do not miss out on accommodation at Firman Lodge. Please check the post on this page about the race for updates. We will update the post with information about transport, food, boat loading, etc., next weekend.

3. September Training Camp. Please pencil in 14 & 15 September for a training camp at Kawerau. If you haven't been part of a training camp - it's all about time on the water and having fun. Less parents are required for this one, but we need one of you to be the Trip Organiser. Let me know if you can help.

4. Nationals 3-6 October at Mangahao. We are not going to this as a 'club trip', rather you will need to make your own arrangements for transport and accommodation. I know some of you have already started thinking about this. I do, however, encourage you to work with others. Maybe if you need transport or want to share accommodation you could put a post on this page. We will take the club trailers, so you don't have to worry about getting your boat there. Lastly, talk to me if you are unsure if you should compete.
